RGI: Rowan Gant Investigations - Volume 1, Issue 1b

2003 saw the official launch of RGI: Beyond The Blotter. Prior to this, M. R. Sellars had sent out a single page letter at the end of the year to fans who had signed up on his mailing list. As the Rowan Gant series gained popularity and touring increased, the need for a more detailed "retrospective" emerged. This particular issue of the newsletter went through several incarnations throughout 2003, each having a letter suffix added to the issue number. The reason for this is that the same newsletter was used for the entire year, with only the tour schedule page being changed. As the newletter itself gained more subscribers, multiple issues then became the norm. It was also during this period that a contest ran in order to pick a name the newsletter. Fans emailed with suggestions, and eventually a winner was picked. In actuality, the final name ended up being a combination of two different suggestions, hence there was a tie. Both winners received free, autographed copies of the latest Rowan Gant novel, as well as a nod in Volume 2, Issue 2 of the newly christened, "RGI: Beyond The Blotter."
